Welcome to the High Desert Forest. A pristine environment in the Southwestern wilds providing the raw material for high grade essential oils handmade by
Eric Scott & Cynthia Low. We operate a still at home, running steam from a small steam generator into the bottom of a 55 gallon drum, then into an amazing hand blown glass condesnser. Small batches with lots of attention. From collecting the boughs in the forest to loading the barrel and pouring off the oil, we do it all.

Our focus is on Conifers that have come into harms way such as trees cleared under power lines or for roads and the like. Local millers and fence pole cutters provide ample opportunity for us to gather boughs they leave behind.

Our first and current distillations have been Pinion Pine (Pinus Eldus) and Ponderosa Pine (Pinus Ponderosa). What a great start!  More  raw material than we could possibly ask for!  Perfectly healthy trees every age and size.  We are gathering and preserving as many of these trees as possible.

For centuries the Conifers have interacted with humans by providing heat, homes, food, oils and solvents. In particular, Pine essential oils can be found in many everyday uses -how about Pine-Sol? Conifer essential oils can be used in cosmetics, soaps, cleaners/degreasers, medicinal/therputic purposes, as well as in the barnyard and vet clinic.
We look forward to working with the Spruce and Fir Families in the near future.
