Welcome to the High Desert Forest. A pristine environment in the South Western United States. The open wilderness provides the raw material for high grade essential oils handmade by Eric Scott Bresselsmith. I operate a still at home, running steam from a small autoclave into the bottom of a 55 gallon drum, then into an amazing hand blown glass condesnser. Small batches, hand processed with lots of love and attention. From collecting the boughs in the forest to loading the barrel and pouring off the oil, it is all done at home. All essences are wild crafted unless noted.
The Conifer Family is one of our primary harvests. Our conifer inventory consists of trees that have been cut down by local municipalies, development, snow or wind break, recycled holiday trees as well as some nursery culls. Featured Conifer essences are Pinion, Ponderosa, Scotch & Austrian Pine, Engelman Spruce, White Fir, Pinion & Ponderosa Cone and Juniper Needle. Most of the trees were distilled fresh (some shade dried green) and included needles and twigs from the entire tree.
Our Brush Collection (Sage, Rabbit & Grindelia) are gathered from areas that are to be bulldozed, plowed, or are just plain considered "weeds". Being a part of a greater community (TREES & PLANTS!), it is always good for us humans to remember that the beings we live with are the ones to care for you. Your food and medicine is literally right out your back door!
Co-Distillations are unusually hard to come by though you will find blend after blend (a rarity to find one with zest.) By observing the plants living together it is easy to see how they work together! Look for other co-distillations to appear here.
