Go back to the primordial ocean of life forming amongst the basic elements of Earths Creations. In this roiling warm saline solution of water and sunshine, our essence swam and came forth. Ages came and went featuring geologic upheavals and long periods of extreme temperatures. In this process, salt that was deposited 220 million years ago was covered over, compressed, crystallized, and thrust skyward in the Himalayan Mountains.
For as long as memory has been, salt has been an integral part of both human and animal existence. In the wild, animals instinctively seek out salt deposits for the taste and the abundance of trace minerals. In turn, cultures across the world have traded salt as a commodity for as long as history has been recorded.
It has been only in the past 50 years that salt has been maligned as a hardener of arteries and a culprit of high blood pressure. This is due to the simple fact that our typical everyday supermarket salt and main ingredients in most supermarket and restaurant foods contains “industrial” salt. This industriall salt is actually a by-product of the several industries, is highly processed and unbelievably contains refined sugar. Indeed this “salt” does harden the arteries and causes high blood pressure and is the equivalent to the vitamin and mineral leaching white sugar.
Many of us have switched to Celtic or sea salt not considering that the salt is being harvested from oceans that have been poisoned to the brink of environmental disaster. Some alternative salts available from desert environments are certainly an upgrade from the sea salts.
Salts hand mined from the Himalayan Mountains are different from the aforementioned salts as not only do they contain 84 trace minerals essential to the human body, the ancient crystals hold the molecular activity of 220 million year old oceans. Crystal Brine
A Solution
Creating Solution:
Put approximately eight to ten 2"-3" Himalayan Salt crystals per quart of water in a re-sealable container (we recommend a glass jar for best results). Fill the container with high quality spring water. A brine solution will begin forming, which is ready for consumption in around 10 hours. The longer the crystals dissolve, the stronger the brine solution will become. Add more crystals, one to two at a time, until the crystals no longer dissolve. At this point, the brine solution is approximately twenty-six percent salt to water, which research has shown to be at an optimum consistency for absorption into the human body. This brine solution is absolutely sterile and germ-free. It can therefore be stored for years in a closed glass container without changing or decomposing.
