Himalayan Crystal Salt Salt deposits more ancient than the Himalayan Mountains. A substance older than the majestic peaks of the East. Can you imagine? |

Go back to the primordial ocean of life forming amongst the basic elements of Earths Creations. In this roiling warm saline solution of water and sunshine, our essence swam and came forth. Ages came and went featuring geologic upheavals and long periods of extreme temperatures. In this process, salt that was deposited 220 million years ago was covered over, compressed, crystallized, and thrust skyward in the Himalayan Mountains. |

For as long as memory has been, salt has been an integral part of both human and animal existence. In the wild, animals instinctively seek out salt deposits for the taste and the abundance of trace minerals. In turn, cultures across the world have traded salt as a base commodity for as long as history has been recorded. Until the recent invention of freezing, salt was the way cultures across the world preserved their food. Thus, we have learned that not all salt is created equal. Sources and processing greatly determine the value of salt. Scientists and Artisans over the ages have discovered various methods of salt production. Some found that adding other agents to keep the salt dry or finding ways to make it pure white could be important marketing strategies. Bleaching salt to create the pure white appearance in essence leaches what are bodies are in dire need of: minerals. Anti-caking agents introduce elements to the body that can cause arteries to harden, blood pressure to rise etc. Thus, a primary ingredient for our health and well being becomes maligned as a culprit of ill health. Take note of salt consumption and craving throughout societies. Here is a clue for us to understand that salt is a very needed part of our daily diet. The type of salt consumed is critical. Many of us have switched to Celtic salt or sea salt not realizing that the salt is being harvested from oceans that have been poisoned to the brink of environmental disaster. My personal research does not find many commercial salt products available that are of the quality our bodies really need. Redmond Salt from Central Utah is the only high quality salt that I can find available on the commercial market. Otherwise it's sea salt or M-----. Redmond Salt (150 million years old) is top quality with trace minerals readily avaialble to your body. The price is right too! Okay, what about Himalayan Salt? Add 75 million years, the fact that it is hand mined, and that it comes from the deep depths of Mother Earth. It also contains 84 trace minerals necessary for body function. Also to mention that the crystals hold molecular information of the worlds oceans that exisited 220 million years ago. I personally use the two salts alternately knowing that my body is getting essential information to keep it hydrated, healthy and abundant. Redmond Salt coming soon! |
